Be a little careful about your library. Do you foresee what you will do with it? Very little to be sure. But the real question is what it will do with you? You will come here and get books that will open your eyes, and your ears, and your curiosity, and turn you inside out or outside in.

GROW

The Albert Carlton Cashiers Community Library has been called the "heart of the village of Cashiers" and receives tremendous support from permanent and seasonal residents. The Library serves as a public meeting place, a gathering place for leisure time with friends, a cultural center for the Chamber Music Series, and even movie nights. The library is also an after school haven for children from our public and charter school as well as the Boys and Girls Club. The "Friends of the Library" is an invaluable volunteer organization which also supports the library and the programs offered at the facility.

Part Of Our Community

The library is a critical component of learning in our area. Check out a book, browse for movies, attend a gathering, use our fiber optic based wi-fi, use our computers or hang our in our library lounge. We are a hands on facility.

Our library just added the Barbara Ohlbeck kiosk to display the accomplishments of one of our treasured friends and donors.

Since 1994 the Albert Carlton - Cashiers Community Library Foundation has supported our library in the center of Cashiers Village. Our purpose is to ensure that our library remains available to the community for generations to come.
